Ramapo Anesthesiology Holiday Party gets Bawdy!

If corporate holiday parties can be a litmus test for the company itself, then I want to work with these guys.  Ramapo Anesthesiology definitely like to have a great time!  Great Sports All...and the company wasn't bawdy, the Bette Midler impersonator was much to the enjoyment of the first table.

The 2nd year at the winter wonderful Seasons in Washington Twp, NJ.  They pull out the stops to have a great time.

Here Guy and Anthony get ready for the big surprise show with the Divine Miss M impersonator. What's truly great about Anthony and Guy here is that Anthony is razing Guy about looking good for the show and the next thing he's primping his own wig...

The recruiting process was not too bad.  Guy said I'm in and Anthony gave in.  Even though Anthony said he didn't dance.  They truly made up the highlight of Bette's act.

Then there was Brian who when I said you also entertain for your patience said "Oh Yeah".  I wouldn't be surprised if he's bringing home tips for being the most entertaining doctor on call.

Great thanks to Laura Vermillion and Dr. Meyappan for bringing us back out to celebrate with you.  Thanks to Dr. Kurtti for having us last year.  If you'd like to experience a great holiday party next year or the most fun corporate event - give me a call.  201 475-5769.

Simone and Diana's weddding Halloween Night

It's a unique night to get married.  You can imagine all the jokes and punch lines about getting married on Halloween.  Say what you will for guys, it's a perfect way to never forget your anniversary.  This wedding felt like a fantastic sequel to a wedding we had the previous year.

Diana and Simone chose the one and only Westmount Country Club for their wedding.   LSNY brought in some additional LED lighting elements to make a spectacular purple room come to life.

Many of the same cast of characters were there and it felt like the roof lifted off...good thing it did because if made room for Simone here,,,

But this one had something extra in a feminine form.  A beautiful belly dancer to continue the fun...

Diana looked gorgeous and both Simone and she partied all night - there was a section with some hard house club beats that felt like we were at Cape Caniveral and we were underneath a launch.  All in all a very high energy, classy, memorable night, and no Halloween costumes or campy numbers.  Just straight party.

Much affection to Mr. and Mrs. Simone Moussa.

High Expectations - Better Results - The Double Mitzvah High Octane Parties

This last weekend was a long anticipated one for us at LSNY. We had 2 mitzvahs at Congregation Beth Elohim in Park Slope at the same time.

One party was thrown by CBE's own Rachel Altstein and Rabbi Andy Bachman for their daugher Audrey and the other, the second mitzvah in the Leath family - Dylan's party. More on Dylan's later. We fell in love with Audrey earlier in the year and then once we met the family we understood why we adored her so much. It was contagious in the family.

It's very rare for the venue to have 2 at the same time. In our 19 years of events we've never had 2 events happen in the same venue at the same time. And my entire LSNY staff was chomping at the bit to get here.

We are such a supportive and connected group they wanted to help each other to create amazing energy for both parties. If you've been to one of our parties I'm sure you've felt it. We were feeling it big.  The idea was when available the crew from one party would join the others to help ramp up the energy.  But in the end neither party needed a boost because the juices were flowing!

MC Yarnell one of the original LSNY Superstars put it all out there at Audrey's mitzvah.  And the whole crew followed the energy.  Wyldchild, Meghan, J-Zap, DJ Joey...check out the energy on the HD video.  It was non-stop from the first moment to the close.  Rabbi Andy RAVED about Yarnell afterward with a sense of almost disbelief at how talented and amazing he was.  That was a joyful moment for me personally.
The kind of party we do comes from the heart.  You can't move people where it sticks, without it and our crew have huge hearts.  It's a two way street with the Bachman family.

Upstairs Dylan's party had a little of everything, most of all very enthusiastic and BEAUTIFUL kids!  Amanda is one of the most gracious, cool people to work with. Justin's party a few years ago was going to be tough to beat.  But once we got started it was not going to be an issue.

I'll be posting more about this party shortly.  Check back soon.

Lighting, Percussion and an All Star Cast and Crowd

This is from an amazing night thrown by Kira and Leonard Vertsman for Arielle.  Kira said the crowd didn't want to leave.

"Hi Mike,

You truly created a most fun filled night for Arielle and the rest of the family and friends. My phone have not stopped ringing with all the amazing things that people are saying about the party.

Please relate this to all your staff and especially the dancers !!!!!

We are very very happy.

Thank you.

KV"

The question that gets asked 80% of the time is "How do you entertain both the kids and the adults?"  The simple answer is experience, knowledge, skill, talent, total commitment to joy and listening to your host and hostess to glean the nuggets of info that we can use to make it happen.  When the young and older more expienced guests are dancing and immerse themselves in the party it establishes a reputation for making great events exciting, yet personal and warm enough that eveyone wants to join in.  This is the ultimate goal for all mixed events.

Congratulations to Arielle, friends, family and guests for joining in the fun and making it feel like the greatest party.  This is one that any family would be proud to have.  Check out the photo favor shots and down below pictures from the party itself from photographer Panagiotis Siafakas.

You Can FEEL the excitement in these Photos

These photos are from 9-11 in Brooklyn NY at Dyker Beach Golf Course.  Izzy Mindel's party which we posted here a little while back.  We got rave reviews from both mom and dad in separate emails.  I thought you'd might like to see the party from a professional's eye view.  These pictures are from Matt Flatow as he saw the party.

'We work with a number of really great photographers who not only capture pictures but don't interject themselves into the party.  Often photographers to catch a shot will stop the action.  We LOVE the guys who can catch it as it happens.

This is a review and some foto favor pictures of Izzy Mindel's event.

Thanks Michael.

We did have a blast!

It truly was a pleasure working with you. From the very beginning planning stages I had the confidence that you would help make this a great party and you did.

You gave me a lot of peace of mind throughout the whole process and that is priceless!

I got great reviews from my guests and the kids were clearly engaged from start to finish. You're a pro! Thanks again! See you at Emma Mac's!

Enjoy some of the pictures you and your friends and family took at Izzy's party.

It looks to me like a legitimate promo, you sure they weren't in the show?

Don't know if you noticed that the original yellow Wiggle has been replaced by Sam so nice choice to leave his head empty.

Cool the left their heads empty in this shot too.

Kids Night out in Brooklyn - 9-4-10 Alex's Party

The First Saturday in September better known as Labor Day weekend was rocking at Deity in Brooklyn with Alex Appelbaum and his friends.  Mom Karen picked a great spot for the kids to get a taste of the night life of Brooklyn.  Wyldchild and Rebecca of LSNY kept the party going with DJ Joey spinning in the booth

LSNY Superstar Rebecca on far Right

You could tell that Alex was making the best of this party!

The foto favors were a big hit at Alex's party as well as the wild dance party.  The site was dark which made for a lot of fun but not a lot of great pictures. But not so with the foto favors area.  Here's a few of the standouts.  Congratulations to Alex, Aliya, Mark and Karen for a great night.

Good stuff from everyone.  See you all at the next one.

REVIEW: Mindel

Michael,

We have had nothing but compliments from our friends. It was the perfect day with Izzy doing a great job in temple, the weather being spectacular, the caterer doing a good job and you and your team rocking the house. The consensus being that you were a pro at making the party a pleasure for young and old. You did deliver the goods and you were the "motivator" that got Dena and me moving .

Thanks

Alan

A Mitzvah GOLD Discovery & Congratulations

Congratulations to the Thaler and Mindel families for having incredible mitzvahs on 9-11-10.

Izzy's party was at Dyker Beach Golf Course in Brooklyn, NY, a place I used to frequent for some links time. They've put quite a bit of investment into the space and created a beautiful settting for a party.

Dena and Alan must have a very good connection to the weather gods because you cannot get a better day to have an outdoor cocktail party. And inside the party was hot the whole way.

"You delivered on everything you said you would," appreciative words from Alan Mindel after the party. And those are the magic words for me.  We promise a lot, and we always want to deliver more than that.

The Mindels live in Windsor Terrace about 100 feet away from where I used to reside before we had our kids, and right from the start they felt like family to me.  I've said this a lot because it's how I feel, but Izzy has been one of my favorite young ladies I've had at a party.  She's always smiling, present, and enjoying herself.  I hear from mom and dad at home it's not always this way, and of course it isn't at home, but at the numerous parties we've seen her presence has always been a welcomed joy for my team.  So kudos to mom and dad that the struggle to raise a great kid is working!

At the CV Rich Mansion in White Plains, Yarnell and our all star crew celebrated with Justin Thaler, a kid who could easily be the party planner for your kid's mitzvah. Justin has taken notes and is so much aware of what makes great parties, I'm going to have him co-author my book on mitzvahs.  Yarnell and I were instantly charmed by his knowledge and enthusiasm for his event.  And it translated into a great party!

We're waiting on video but by all accounts it was a thrill ride a minute, literally, as we had a VIRTUAL REALITY Roller Coaster there for the summer beach theme. And with the chairs dancing to the coaster moves it was like just another adding to the festivities.

Not sure according to Yarnell who had more fun Eli, Justin's brother or mom and dad - Diane and Craig who were seen whooping it up on the floor.

Yarnell whose MC prowess is getting to be legendary at this point, commented that one of the tools we discovered and apply with LSNY is absolutely the GOLDEN TICKET for parties. Both Yarnell and I have worked with many companies in our history and no one else uses this simple but incredibly powerful program to virtually GUARANTEE that the kids at a party not just DANCE but GIVE EVERYTHING THEY HAVE on the dance floor.

Our clients definitely know it and have seen it work like gangbusters. But it wasn't til I heard Yarnell mention again today that I realized it's another compelling difference we do here at LSNY to make sure your party is absolutely another level above and the best it can possibly be.

Congratulations again to our happy families and we look forward to the next great adventure. And if you want to know more about our discovery give me a call, better yet book us and we'll make it happen!

Make it a GREAT day!

How do you get a GREAT party no matter what?

Every one deserves a great day to celebrate being alive... if just for making it through the day to day of family life.  It is good for the soul to matter. Parties and celebrations remind us that.  No matter what is going on, it enables us feel all the best parts of being alive and appreciate this thing we have anew.

I've never met a family who has had a smooth and easy journey through years of raising a child or children.  Even loving them to pieces they sometimes bring us to pieces.  And then we regroup and find a new piece of joy, until they take the next peace, and we learn patience and new found understanding for our own parents.  It's the cycle.  It reminds us we can handle more than we think.

I can appreciate this more now that I have two little ones. Each day holds a different adventure.  So when it comes to a bar or bat mitzvah or wedding, a birthday or anniversary party, I fully appreciate and want nothing less than to create the GREATEST day or night that they can remember or will ever remember.

With this as our sole and focused intention and attention, there is nothing and I mean nothing that is going to get in the way of our making this happen. And that is the 1st part of how you get a great party no matter what. The second part is having a team of people who can make the 1st part happen.

As our hostess would attest to at our last mitzvah there were many, many issues and obstacles in the way.  As these issues intensified and spilled over into every aspect of their party, from venue, catering, decor, and of course entertainment, everyone got wet from the overflow.  Behind the scenes the tension was frustrating for the professionals who knew that if the hostess could somehow just take care of the basics, everything else would be well taken care of.

In the movie "Shakespeare in Love" Geoffrey Rush's played Philip Henslowe the theater manager when everything conspired to stop the show from going forward, nervously but with a strange conviction said,

Philip Henslowe: "Mr. Fennyman, allow me to explain about the theatre business. The natural condition is one of insurmountable obstacles on the road to imminent disaster.

Hugh Fennyman: So what do we do?

Philip Henslowe: Nothing. Strangely enough, it all turns out well.

Hugh Fennyman: How?

Philip Henslowe: I don't know. It's a mystery.
It can often feels like when looking at the number of things that have to come together for an event to happen feels like we don't know how it will happen.  But the conviction of highly talented, caring and determined individuals always triumphs.  The answer to the question posed is trust your gut, hire a company that will treat your event like it was their own and are positively committed to your joy, and you will have it.

Birthday Parties and Having Fun at your Kids

I recently celebrated my own daughter's 4 year birthday party. Our summer seems to be a non-stop carnival of one birthday party after another.  I appreciate even more our clients process when you begin doing that annual party.

My niece's face painting results

Each year since my daughter was 1 year old, I wanted to have activities for adults to enjoy as well.  This year it was centered around lawn throwing games like ladder ball, and bean bag tosses. The adults get into it quite a bit. And as you can see below the little ones like to get in on the action.

Last year we had bocci out but with little kids it gets tough.  This year out in the field behind our place I set up a badmitten net and while it was slow for people to warm up by the later part of the party it was getting a bit of play.

And you can never go wrong with bubbles for kid's parties.  We played a game last year where the adults blew the bubbles and kids would see how many bubbles they could catch on their wands.  Bouncy houses aside that was a fun game.

This year I brought in one of my airbrush tattoo artist and face painters and she was the big hit of this birthday party.  So much so that at least four parents asked me about getting her for their party.  Here you can see the little ones waiting patiently and watching magic take place.

It's quite possible to have a really lovely afternoon for 40 to 60 people for under a grand including great food and an awesome cake for under a thousand dollars.

This year the cake was in the theme of the INCREDIBLES, one of her favorite movies.

I have to say I happen to love that movie myself.  For tips on how to make a really fun, lively party for adults and kids at your next birthday party give me a call.  201 457-5769.  Enjoy the rest of your summer.
